On the 24th March 2018 the timeless craft of basketry will be explained in the relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere of Loughcrew Megalithic Centre. You will learn the necessary skills required to handcraft your own basket from willow. All materials provided. The course will cover the following;
Selecting the rods
Making the base
Inserting the uprights
Weaving the sides
Top border finishing.
At the end of the workshop you will take home your very own handcrafted basket.
