The Loughcrew Megalithic Centre Campsite is aptly named because it is located in the Loughcrew Hills. The Loughcrew Hills / Sliabh na Calliagh (The Witches Mountain) form the perfect backdrop to anyone staying at our campsite. Enjoy the free flowing theme of Loughcrew that is abundant throughout the campsite with its mature outline of trees which give shelter from the prevailing winds and a breathtaking view of several counties from its high vantage point.

Before leaving for the festival in the morning you can enjoy breakfast in the magnificent thatched cafe and enjoy a stroll through our heritage cottage which is located on the campsite. Feel free to relax and shoot the breeze in the courtyard with a nice mug of freshly brewed Bewleys coffee or tea and a tasty piece of food or cake to set you up for the day.

If you still have any energy left after a night on the town you can chill out with a short stroll to the top of the hill. Up there you can make a wish on the Hags chair while in awe of the beautiful scenery that spreads out in front of your very eyes. There is no better place to see a sunrise or sunset. No matter where you are from you probably will be able to pick out your home ground as you can see 18 counties from here. The breathtaking scenery can be seen from the campsite and the peak is just a stroll from the campsite.

There’s more,any of you with families can take the wee ones along to play in the magnificent playground on site. Overlooking the playground is a Mural based on Old legend and myth obviously encorporating the Loughcrew Hills and Witch. Festival goers can re-energise in our new purpose built shower and washing facilities before hitting the road. That coupled with the hostel on site where there is a fully functioning kitchen at your disposal should make your experience at Loughcrew Megalithic Campsite a memory that you will treasure and remain with you for the rest of your life.
